Sanctum of Nun: Primordial Waters of the Egyptian God -Environment Concept Art-Interior Depths

This project is based on an Ancient Egyptian God Nun or Nu a member of the Ogdoad or the eightfold, which are 8 primordial Gods. Nun is a personification of the primordial waters, chaos, that existed before creation. He is sometimes depicted as a anthropomorphic deity with a frog's head. I played up the frog aspect and made him look a bit serpent like as well.

This is the interior sanctum where each treasure filled sarcophagus is guarded by lethal statues that come to life as the seals are broken. The inside is moist and overgrown with foliage, barnacles, and coral- dimly lit by light shining through surface cracks in the temple and the same fiery torches that light the shadowy dungeons of every video game flicker here, prompting one to ponder, "Who lights all these torches?".

I want to thank Tyler Bourne a ton for all the helpful suggestions and feedback on this project and Tyler Edlin for a lighting suggestion on the key art that helped a lot. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot.
