Teutonic Order Castle Fortress

This is a project based on the Teutonic Order that I did for the Art Train Academy mentorship class taught by Kevin Jick. I learned a lot and received some great feedback along the way.

The goal was to create a brick gothic castle/fortress that could exist in reality, but exaggerate certain proportions and make various aspects more dramatic. Most of it was based on real castle layouts, and I wanted to create a foggy and ominous mood. This is contrasted with the dining shot, which represents a more recreational and relaxing area for the castle denizens.
